PRINCIPALS
Ermanno Acler - Eng. PhD
Ermanno runs Holzpak Engineering SRL. He holds a Ph.D. degree in structural engineering from the Faculty of Engineering if the University of Trento. During his Ph.D. program he was involved in a research aimed at studying the behavior of several types of connection systems used in the industry of the cross laminated timber buildings. The research was also carried out in collaboration with the Faculty of Engineering of the University of New Brunswick (Canada). After his graduation he started a technical consulting activity in the field of the timber industry. He has also done consulting for several companies working in North America (USA and Haiti), Europe (Italy, France, Norway and Sweden), and Singapore. He is currently involved in the structural design of several large CLT projects in the US and Norway.
Antonio Guariento
Antonio is President of New York-based Holzpak LLC. He has a Master of Architecture degree from the Rhode Island School of Design and a Bachelor Degree for Business Administration from the University of Venice in his home country of Italy. He combines years of building experience in Europe, Asia and the US to strengthen efficiencies in residential and commercial projects. Antonio and his family reside in New York.
